Great games for a five-minute break

Great games for a five-minute break

May 18, 2026 · Lukas Berger

Some days you do not have an hour to sink into an RPG. You have a bus stop, a lunch queue, or two minutes before a meeting. That calls for a very specific kind of game.

The ideal short-session game loads fast, lets you stop instantly, and never punishes you for closing it. Casual tappers and simple puzzles are perfect here. Something like a gentle fishing tapper gives you a satisfying little loop that you can drop the moment your turn comes up.

Avoid anything with long unskippable intros or forced online matches for these moments. The last thing you want is to be stuck mid-round when you need to move.

Keep two or three of these installed and rotate them. Variety keeps even the quick breaks feeling fresh, and none of them will eat your battery in the process.
